Lucinda Sheridan Ohlson resides, in Cape Town South Africa and is currently developing her film making skills at The AFDA Film School in Cape Town. Currently she is in her third year completing her undergraduate degree program - a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture.
She has achieved great success at the AFDA Film School thus far with, Her Short film such as Black Venom receiving first place in the 2013 2nd year category, undertaking the psychological thriller Genre in which she co –wrote alongside the talented screenwriter Kobus Marx. With great vision and a unique imagination Lucinda has directed and written High concept short films such as Her 2nd year film Titled: Rapunzel, which was a darker view of the fairy tale we all know to, raise awareness of Human captivity and slavery. This film too received an achievement of coming 2cnd place in the third term category for 2013.
Black Venom and Rapunzel where nominated in the top ten films of the year 2013 and where featured in the AFDA second year film festival.
Lucinda has a passion for film and strives to create work that inspires her audience. As well as tackle a variety of Genres. With her ambitious attitude and focused direction she is sure to continue succeeding in all her future endeavours and create phenomenal films for audiences now and ahead. She enjoys creating metaphors within her work not only as an artist’s mark but, mainly to push the narratives within her films forward as a symbol of the concepts or character development.
